gotta love this two, today I'll have somethings I loved about episode 14 and him choosing what colour will suit was too cute. And I'm not mistaken his mother had wore the same dress in the past episode 🤭

Alpagu Han is proud of Batuga and yet scared of him at the same time. He even admitted that Batuga and Akkiz are powerful and unstoppable together 🤭😂 and I felt it

When he dared Batuga to get on the while to negotiate thinking he couldn't, and Batuga looking at Akkiz before he could get on the horse to get her approval 🤭 and when he finally got on the horse 😍😍😍❤️😂Alpagu Han's reaction was priceless

When they were holding hands when Han was taking the arrow out and when he turned back and realised they were holding hands 😂😂😂❤️ I laughed so bad

Batuga's words towards Han driving him nuts by saying he is surrounded by traitors 👌🏼

And Batuga's is just, not to mention Akkiz's fighting skills 

Oh and our Sirma woke up and still had time for jokes 😍😂

Did I mention I loved when Akkiz and Batuga get jealous 😂I find it cute and funny at the same time

The Romance!

OK so now for some rambling thoughts on the blossoming romance between Akkis and Batuga.

A little recap:

We are introduced to Akkis and Batuga on the same day losing a parent from the hands of Alpagu. Akkis gives him a wooden sword that becomes the symbol of their trauma and an emotional crutch for Batuga. This impacts them both in childhood in different ways.

So when they meet and recognise each other as adults there is an instant connection. From the beginning, imo, there seems to be a stronger attraction from Batuga’s side than from Akkis but it slowly develops for her when she realizes that he is the Two-Headed Wolf from her dream.

What is really great in this series is that the female lead is the warrior and the male lead is the pragmatic one and I would add even the more emotionally expressive one – this is usually the opposite in both film and TV.

For their different reasons both are inexperienced in relationships – Batuga because he has lived an isolated life and Akkis because she is the Paw and hasn’t had time to think about it most probably and she has been focused on revenge. While there have been hints about their attraction to each other, in e10 we see that really moving and brilliantly acted scene at Tilsim’s grave where Batuga shares his confused feelings for Akkis. 

In his confusion about his emotions he decides to suppress how he feels. Akkis similarly focuses more on Batuga being the Two-Headed Wolf and being his Paw and thinks that this is her role in his life ie fulfilling the dream she had. There is also that scene in the secret tunnel where Sirma jokes with Akkis about her feelings for Batuga and her jealousy but she ignores it.

So, when Akkis is willing to give up her life to save her friends and Batuga that is when we get the first sense of her deeper feelings. It also made Batuga prepared to sacrifice all to save her. I think it was a good way to expose that he was sane and to officially see the two of them more as a couple who are willing to sacrifice their lives for each other. 

Batuga says several times that they will either live together or die together. While this clearly defines their relationship romance is still a cat and mouse game with each reacting jealously to various provocation without actually admitting anything

The scenes in the Council room when both Batuga and Akkis are being interrogated are quite moving. 

Batuga defends Akkis against Colpan and they both defend each other to Alpagu. After they leave the secret tunnel after the rebellion Batuga gives Akkis a really cute look though she doesn’t seem to notice it and then when they reach their camp and they hug. This is another cute scene esp as Kun Ata and Saltuk watch on indulgently.

But this hug is still not an open understanding between the two of them about their feelings for each other and there are many other jealous moments from both of them:

When Akkis tells Batuga about the note sent by Calayir about the tribe coming with bride gifts for Kiricek’s – esp when he tells her that when she raids the entourage it will be the second bridal group for Kiricek that she has raided!

When Sabir groom (the tribe for Kiricek marriage – I think that’s their name?) laughs at Akkis and Batuga knocks him out for it

When Saltuk tell Batuga he can’t knock out every man he is jealous about – he’s making it too obvious!

Cutest moment possibly when he tells her she should wear the blue dress at the ‘the wedding’ but not clarifying which wedding!

I think this romance has been engineered brilliantly and it is still developing so let's see where it goes.
